But Sharon wants to join the hippies and be part of the changing society, so she leaves home and heads to California. Upon arriving in California, Sharon is thrown into an adult world for which she is unprepared, and she embarks on a precarious journey amid the 1970s counterculture. On her various adventures across the country and while living on a commune, with friends and lovers filtering in and out of her life, she realizes she must learn quickly in order to survive--as well as figure out a way to reconcile her developing spirituality with her Catholic upbringing. 600 04 Dukett, Sharon. 650 0 Counterculture. 650 0 Feminists. 650 0 Hippies. 650 0 Nineteen seventies. 650 0 Young adults|xAttitudes. 650 0 Young women. 651 0 California. 655 0 History. 655 7 Autobiographies.|2lcgft 655 7 Biographies.|2lcgft 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n16666509 938 Brodart|bBROD|n125341458 994 C0|bORL
