Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences. With skill and care, Milani traces Curie's flight from Russia-controlled Poland, her romance with fellow scientist Pierre Curie, and Marie and Pierre's stunning discoveries of the elements radium and polonium. Throughout this distinctive graphic work, Curie defies doubt and double standards to make an enduring impact on the scientific world."--Amazon 521 Ages 14-15 600 10 Curie, Marie,|d1867-1934|vComic books, strips, etc. 600 10 Curie, Marie,|d1867-1934|vJuvenile literature. 650 0 Women physicists|zPoland|vBiography|vComic books, strips, etc. 650 0 Women physicists|zFrance|vBiography|vComic books, strips, etc. 650 0 Women chemists|zPoland|vBiography|vComic books, strips, etc. 650 0 Women chemists|zFrance|vBiography|vComic books, strips, etc. 650 0 Women Nobel Prize winners|vBiography|vComic books, strips, etc. 650 0 Women physicists|zPoland|vBiography|vJuvenile literature. 650 0 Women physicists|zFrance|vBiography|vJuvenile literature. 650 0 Women chemists|zPoland|vBiography|vJuvenile literature. 650 0 Women chemists|zFrance|vBiography|vJuvenile literature. 650 0 Women Nobel Prize winners|vBiography|vJuvenile literature. 655 7 Biographical comics.|2lcgft 655 7 Nonfiction comics.|2lcgft 655 7 Graphic novels.|2lcgft 700 1 Schwandt, Kerstin,|etranslator. 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n15992647 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n15992414 938 Brodart|bBROD|n124688683 994 C0|bORL
