Summary "With the aptly titled Bad Republican, Meghan McCain expresses how it is to feel like you no longer fit in with your political party. This memoir explores growing up the daughter of an American icon who shaped her life and her views on cancel culture and internet trolls as well as life backstage as the sole Republican at America's most-watched daytime talk show"-- Provided by publisher.
She grew up the daughter of John McCain, an American Republican icon. She was the sole Republican at America's most-watched daytime talk show, but didn't see eye to eye with many in the party when it came to Donald Trump or old-guard social conservatism. Coping with online trolls and a volatile mood at her workplace, among other issues, McCain decided to leave the The View. Here she airs her views on cancel culture, where she thinks the Republican Party and the country go from here, and why the birth of her daughter has left her fired up about women;s rights-- one more thing that puts her at odds with her party. -- adapted from jacket
