Summary Edith Lake Wilkinson (1868-1957) was a promising artist who in 1924 was placed in a mental institution where she would spend the rest of her life. "Packed in a trunk" follows filmmaker Jane Anderson, Wilkinson's niece, as she investigates her aunt's art and life, making numerous revealing discoveries along the way.
